Angry Birds was launched on the iPhone App Store around 2 years ago.  It has become more than just a popular game, and it’s now to become a global brand. In addition to its success on iphone, last year angry birds started selling merchandise.   Rovio’s Peter Vesterbacka who is the business developer of angry birds, states that 2million toys were sold, and that their success lies since angry birds can be played on almost every conceivable platform.

Angry birds Movie & Cartoon

It has been downloaded over 100m times, and now their ambitious are far more than just a game! They are planning to make a movie, and a Tv cartoon.  Interviewed on CNN news he says that he will make a franchise and develop a new-generation entertainment.   Angry bird’s movie will be an animated film about birds, and they have the hopes to be launched next month.

Within a marketing perspective, angry birds have been promoted in a creative way. They did not just market their game, but also they have been developing their product to cater for every person, especially young children who obviously would like to see their game’s characters in a cartoon.

Those who have never heard of angry birds, they surely now will hear about it! Angry birds players use a sling shot to launch birds on pigs on different structures.  Once they have destroyed all the pigs, they can move to a more advanced level, until they will compute all the levels.

Their marketing combination and innovations they are creating from it will be a success because it’s a combination of many things, which could be played on every touch screen.
